valve cover gasket

Default valve cover gasket

i'm replacing my valve cover gasket and spark plug tube seals. does anyone know if i need to use silicone (rtv) for this or if it matters. i'v used it on other vehicles but don't want to unless i have to

Rtv will be great as long as you have purchased a new gasket and not just usingrtv on it.

It did not come from the factory with RTV so don't use any now.

Yea just go and buy the kit from a parts store and youll be fine. No need for RTV

Yep what everyone else said you don't need any rtv if you just doing the valve cover andplug well gaskets.

awesome info.. i'm looking to do this soon, as mine leaks from the pass side. How long does the valve cover gasket take to do? i don't have a garage, so i'll have to do this outside.
