1995 Mitsu Mirage 1.8l (Cali edition) 5spd Manual
I am having problems with engine running conditions. It all started with the ignition coil in the distributor. I replaced the distributor with a reman. and got the P0340 CPS bank A code. I took it to a shop and they replaced with a brand new distributor, rotor, cap. Still got the P0340 code and they told me to have a dealer flash the PCM. The dealer wouldn't touch it so I replaced the PCM. The engine has problems starting at first but it starts. When I give it too much throttle (while in neutral) is bogs out and hesitates. Almost to the point of stalling and then revs up. When I go to drive I get loss of power if I don't rev up the rpm's and work the clutch but it eventually gains speed. Will driving it has sporadic acceleration and hesitates and car jumps. If I give it wide open throttle is bogs out looses power and sounds like popping noises coming from engine. I need help badly. I have tried everything I know how to do.
