RE: 2001 mirage radio unlock code
Also, try taking it up to Best Buy or some place like that. Usually they are able to help with issues like that. Same thing happened to my g/f 's civic and we just ran up to the local best buy and the guy working in the install bay hooked us up for free.

RE: 2001 mirage radio unlock code
see, as a best buy mobile installer, i know that he did exactly what i suggested before. he must have been in a good mood, cuz i definetly would have charged you for custom labor (which caries a minimum of 30 minutes service and a $35.98 price tag) for having to tear apart your car. don't expect every installer, especially the ones that actually care about hitting their productivity goals, to just hand out favors.

I got a 2001 Mitsubishi Mirage ES Sedan 4D and my radio was locked. The
radio type is P901. This is just for future reference, and other kinds of
Mitsu vehicle and radios may have the similar procedure.
The unlock steps are shown as follows:
1) Uninstall the darn radio using the instruction pdf:
https://www.mitsubishicars.com/media...-2001%20Mirage
.pdf
get your Radio Serial Number and Radio Part Number(aka MODEL NO., often
starts with "MR")
2) Go to Mitsubishi official website:
https://www.mitsubishicars.com/MMNA/...ocode-step2.do
submit those two numbers you got in step 1 along with your VIN and email
address. Then you'll receive the code for the radio by the email in a few
secs.
3) Enter the code for the radio using the instruction pdf:
https://www.mitsubishicars.com/media...de/radio_code_
location_and_input.pdf
Now congrats, your radio is now good to go.

Thank you for these instructions. However, the link to the instructions on how to input the code doesn't seem to work. A page pops up that says the link can't be found on this server. I tried other servers and it didn't work on any of them. Would you re-post the link?
Thanks so much.
