I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Mirage. Recently I have had problems starting the car and running the car. When starting the car if my foot is on the brake it doesn't seem to start and even with it on the clutch sometimes when the key is turned there is a click sound and I have to turn the key a couple more times for it to start. Also when it does start if it idles long enough it goes dead and has to be restarted.

 

Don't know if I can be ANY help but have you checked the starter or silinoid for your first prob?

Also check your battery and then clean both posts and check for the cables being tightend in the keeper.

Also your second prob COULD be a MAF prob or throttle positioning sensor.
