Default '02 Montero Limited Warning Lights (and noises...)

So I've had my '02 Montero Limited for about a year and a half. It has just rolled 70K and things have all of a sudden begun to go awry....

1st: Every time I hit the brake pedal, The "Anti-Lock" and the "Brake" dash lights come on with the announcing *beep* then goes off after 3 or 4 seconds, only to repeat the next time the pedal is depressed. This goes on for an indeterminate period of time (sometimes 5 miles - sometimes 30 miles). I had the pads changed and the rotors turned to no avail. Any suggestions?

2nd: Almost at about the same time, the brake pedal when depressed make a "squeak-squeak" sound (that's 2 distinct "squeaks" at a precise tempo). I've looked under there to no avail as well...

Has ANYONE had a similar with this or any other year model?!? Any and/or all suggestions/recommendations would be GREATLY appreciated!! The closest Mitsubishi shop is an hour or 2 away....

Thanks all!!

You have a problem with the EBD accumulator. There is either a recall on this item or a TSB. It involves simple replacement of the accumulator. Have it taken care of from your local dealership.
