I searched. I really did. I can’t find any posts on how to remove the transfer case shifter in order to replace the shift ball.
We have an ‘03 Sport with a very sloppy feeling transfer case shift lever. Please help. Thanks.

 

I don’t know about removing the transfer case, but I changed the ball just by going in through the center console. I took out the trim around it and exposed the boot and a couple of bolts holding a meta plate on top and it was all right under there. There’s a little sting holding the shift lever in the right spot but it’s all pretty straight forward once you get in there. It’s been a few months since I did it so I don’t have a link to a video or too many details on it for you but I hope that helps
