Default 1991 Montero won't start

I've got a 1991 Montero that I've had for about 5 years now. I bought it from a friend at work for $1200 after he'd blown a head gasket at 132,000 miles. At 162,000 it blew another head gasket. I had the heads redone and I've put it all back together, but it won't start. I even took it back apart to double check that the timing marks are all aligned correctly. I'm getting spark. It has been sitting a couple of years in my garage, so I drained the old gas, put fresh gas in and bled the fuel line.

Is it possible to get spark but to have a bad ECM?

Thanks!

Have you ever used the company AvPro that advertises on this forum to repair ECM units? They offer to repair the unit for $190.00 and give a life-time guarantee - for as long as you own the car.

I can't really hear the fuel pump, but when I disconnected the fuel line, I thought I was disconnecting the supply line and attached a piece of tubing to the line to catch the fuel when I turned the key on - only to find out that it was the return line. There was a lot of gas all over the engine and battery, so I'm assuming that the fuel pump is working OK- though I don't know how much pressure I've got. Is there a connector somewhere that I can attach a fuel pressure gauge?
