2001 Montero Ltd Brake pad and rotor replacement
I just replaced the front pads and rotors on "Rhino II", my 2001 Monty ltd. It was a snap. Unscrew 2 bolts to remove the caliper, and 2 more to remove the caliper support, pad, clip and shim assembly.
Pls note that I needed to put a length of pipe on my breaker bar to get enough torque on the support assembly bolts. Also, it took a lot of WD-40 and a few well placed blows with a sledge to loosen one of the rotors.
So, other than tight bolts and expected rust, a piece of cake!
I've attached a diagram fyi.
