I don't think you'd be able to idle "normally" for 10 min with plugged cat converter. You'd be stalling out right away.
I'm curious to hear it it was crankshaft position sensor or not.

 

How did you make out with the fuel pump 01.

 

Sorry for the delay. It was the crankshaft position sensor. The water pump was leaking and it slung antifreeze on it and after time it gummed up and would not read when it got warm. Replaced the crankshaft position sensor and Water pump. All is well.
