2002 Montero Timing Belt
So I just replaced the timing belt, tensioner, pulleys, water pump and all the other belts. I got it back together and it turns over but won't start. What might I have done wrong? The one thing I didn't replace is the crank shaft posistion sensor.
I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero XLS (3.5L engine #6G74). I need to know if this is an interference engine. Trying to replace my timing belt and need to know if I can turn my camshafts without it hitting the valves. Any help would be great! TYIA
Here is a link to free manuals for the Montero. It's a Russian web site, but the manuals are in English. At least the ones I've used, I didn't check them all. Also, the Montero is also known as a Pajero in the rest of the world, so don't let that throw you off. The '98 Montero Sport manual was the 13th folder down. Pajero 4×4 Off-Road Club
2002 Mitsubishi Montero XLS (3.5L engine #6G74) is an INTERFERENCE engine. I'm sure you're done by now.
