Default 3.5 DOHC in place of 3.0 SOHC

Can someone (anyone) comment on how hard it would be to transplant a 3.5 DOHC in place of the current 3.0 SOHC engine in a 90 Montero? Is this a common engine swap? I'm new to the Montero scene!
