i replaced the coolant temperature sensor but that didnt do it...what else i might get into...is kind of smels like it has exhaust leak around the engine bay...can that be anny of the gaskets?head gasket......its hesitating a lot when cold...then when it worms up works fine....its cuting periodicly at little taps tho....i dont know is that any of the sensors.....i replaced the spark plugs....can it be a bad cable....or eger sensor or o2 sensor....no check engine light is on tho....so idk wtf is wrong

you mean is it like leaking or the coolant getting low...no not at all...or at least havent noticed because i dont drive it to long distances

 

It is the 02 sensor if you smell fumes or gas

the fuel is not burning properly. try buying a Fuel Injection Cleaner. Try Lucas or any $5.00 cleaners. fill it up and ran it for a week until gas is gone.

Buy RESTORE OIL ADDITIVES after you changed oil. Try running the Montero on idle longer. Mitsubishi cars perform better and faster when the oil is hotter.

ALWAYS HEAT UP THE CAR DURING COLD SEASONS IT IS BETTER FOR ENGINE.

Try going longer trips some fuel residue might be clogging your fuel pipes or hoses.
so the engine carbon built up will burn and might go away.

 

probably that's problem you don't drive long distance the cylinders might be just clog with debris. try those additives first for a week and come back and let me now my friend.

Mitsu engine should last longer like other Japs cars. if you have regular maintenance like oil change and tune up.

 

but if its the o2 sensor isnt the check engine lamp supposed to be on?

 

Its not an 02 sensor.

 

ok soooo....it is not losing coolant....then what is it if not o2 sensor.....egr sensor?

 

so i have a 95 rs, and when running it pumps smoke out of the pcv hose, intake hose, and exhaust. I figured that the problem was in the piston rings, today i finally get the pistons out...the rings look fine, what the is wrong with my car
