Default 95 still has miss

Ok local dealer has no idea, it went away for one day but it's back, they didn't know if I rebuilt the motor if it would fix it. My maintenance req-light is on. It seems this problem is at low RPM's or when I gas it with the overdrive on it surges or misses unless I keep pressing the gas pedal it goes away. Could it be the ICM? The one day I drove it everything was fine shifted nice, idled fine it was perfect. Also can I use and electrically stuff from a 3.0L Montero to help diagnose the problem or does it have to be a 3.5L?

DOHC or SOHC?

and what has happened up until now? Have you broken a timing belt? How many miles on it? What have you done to it?

you need to give information for people to help.

do a compression check.. you will almost assuredly have low compression in one cylinder.
