Center differential lock light blinking and wont go off

The dealer hit me for 3 hours of labor, they claim they had to drop the transfer case. Lots of work and lots of money to pay for that little annoying light.
I wonder when I should expect to encounter this issue again?

Yup. They're at the very top of the Xcase because it offers the most protection from the elements but is also the hardest to reach and requires xcase removal to access them.
