Default Vacuum leak?

Check little vacuum hoses around the top of the engine (by intake manifold). A cracked vacuum hose could be a culprit.

Thanks for all your help in this matter. I did check out the vacuum hoses and to my surprise they are all still good...no cracked or damaged hoses.

Default Ok so here we go on the COLD high idle!!!!

Ok, I have the question into yahoo Q&A and will keep yas posted.
OK... Here we go again... I should have posted this also but just forgot...
I noticed the Montero getting slightly louder, then the idle started to get higher and higher ...
Now it's at about 2300 RPMs only when cold then warms up after a few minutes and goes right back to normal. I took apart/cleaned all the sensors, checked out all the vacuum hoses ( all good ) I have 125,000 miles on my baby now. I was waiting to do a tuneup on it cause if you look for trouble YOU WILL ALWAYS FIND IT. LOL. Now keep in mind I change the oil every 3000 mi. or before any trips and it is very well maintained too. Thanks for your time here as this is still a very big help for me.

UPDATE...I GOT THE FIX WITH BEAUTIFUL PICTURES UNFORTUNATELY THE FORUM WILL NOT LET ME POST FROM MY DESKTOP SO NO PIC'S HERE BUT YOU CAN EMAIL ME AT... handson59842@yahoo.com and I will send them to you.
Now I had 2 bolts that rusted almost all the way off of the catalytic converter so I removed the rest and put some bolts through and tightened them up with no leaks now. It was right by the oxy sensor so I guess that was the culprit that was giving me a false reading. Once again my Montero runs fantastic.
I would still like to thank AKZLE and HUNTERD for your help in this matter.
