Im thinking I should divest myself of my montero sports since engines arent available as my search in 2012 & 2015.
I should sell them before I get any more miles on them and theyre worth little and even less ($250) to JY. (SoCal) You may want to start thinking now about that too.

I have searched for remanufactured & new3.0 engines and there are none currently being made available here in the states(including new engines). I did a couple day search and even followed recommendations of where they might be obtained,but NA. Maybe someone has found what I cannot.
Used engines are available,but Im not keen on that one. besides the installation costs bay the mechanics Id let do it charge about 3k to R&R. Add that to a JY engine...... well its not worth it to me.

I have 2- 2001 xls 4x4s. 1 has 145K the other 245K and never any repairs other than the timing chain at replace intervals. One leather,one not. Has been perfectly reliable since new. Cant beat that.
Im not going to part them out. Too big a hassle. Besides youve got to pay a JY to take your now stripped junker .
