courtesy step light wires missing
Me too, I was dreading the call from the dealer but it wasn't bad at all, I think the Mitsubishi gods gave me a pass this time lol. I should have clarified that its the driver door illumination light. Courtesy step light could be confused with the lights on the step rail. The driver door light wires are inside the door panel and the step rail light wires are just running along the frame. They are a pain to get the bulb out cause there are little skid plates covering the light housings. Sorry if there was any confusion.
So I picked it up from the dealer and everything works again. the bcm had to 're learn the idol...it died on me 7 times on the way home. Got home and turned it off for a few minutes then took it on a little drive. All seemed fine after that. I will just have to keep an eye on it.
On a side note there is a 20amp fuse in the fusible link box in the engine compartment that keeps blowing every time I put a new one in it. The fuse is identified on the fuse cover with an engine sign. Any one know what that controls.
Also the fuse that blew my electrical out was inside the engine compartment fusible link box and has a yellow sleeve around it and another fuse. So if you loose all your electrics thats a good place to look.
