Default Cruise control help needed!

Hello everyone, so in my 2002 Montero Sport, the cruise control doesn't work. The cruise light on the dash comes on when I turn it on but it won't activate and the gas pedal won't move itself... How to fix it?

I was hoping someone who knows more about this model might be able to help you, but seems like no takers. I hope your '02 Sport has similar setup as my '01. On mine the cruise control is activated and controlled by vacuum. Check vacuum line to the cruise control actuator. Also put vacuum on the cruise actuator itself and check to see if the diaphragm inside is intact.

Thanks for the reply! Where is the actuator located?

Ok thanks! It is actually connected correctly with the black module looking thing on the very right of the vehicle! But on that black thing, there are two small pipes which I suppose are suppose to connect with each other with a small L looking hose and on mine those two are not connected! What is that for?
