Default gerabox problems
I recently replaced the automatic transmission( gearbox) on my montero sport (2WD). When moving and the gear is shifting from 1st to 2nd I can feel a sharp jerk. The same thing happens when shifting from reverse to drive. Any help?

What year is your Montero? Are you running genuine Mitsubishi AT fluid in the tranny?

My montero sport has the ff spec:
year 2000 model
3.0 v6
petro.

I live in Ghana in West Africa and Im used to Fluide ATX oil from a company called Total.

That is a tough one. The transmission you installed is it new, used or rebuilt? It is possible that it has a defect in it. I hope someone else can help out with possible solutions.
