Help!!!!! I removed the hormonic balancer from my 1999 Montero Sport 3.0 engine and the timing gear came out with the balancer is this supposed to happen.How do I get the timing lined up again, and How do I get it off of the balancer does a new one come on a replacement balancer,Please help, this is my only car....Tom

 

No, they are two different parts. Why where you removing it anyway???

 

tHEW DAMPER PULLEY FOR THE SERPENTINE BELT CAME OFF OF THE DAMPER.WHEN I TRIED TO REMOVE THE DAMPER THE LOWER GEAR CAME OFF WITH IT.I FINALLY REMOVED IT FROM THE DAMPER AND NOW I AM IN THE PROCESS OF PUTTING IT BACK ON, AFTER I TORE APART THE FRONT OF THE MOTOR.IS THIS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE GEAR COMING OUT WITH THE PULLEY.IT WASLIKE IT WAS PRESSED ON.THE OLD GEAR FITS RIGHT INTO THE NEW DAMPER.
