Default Having problems with my transmission

I have a 01 montero Sport LS, On thursday whenever I would slow down to take a turn or go around a curve and then accelerate to get my speed back up my truck would jerk a couple of times, But whenever I would come to a complete stop and goit would go good without jerking but this evening it started doing it from a complete stop and from slowing down and it is getting worse every time. I had the battery and alternator checked and they were fine. I am thinking that it may be the filter and fluid as it not been changed since 60,000 and it has almost 138,000 now. Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.

If it's you're tranny then it should happen in both situations not just turns.

I'd check other things first. Mitsu tranny's are pretty reliable and usually run more than 200K before needing rebuilds. Yours is getting older though I'd replace the fluid more frequently. It will lenghthen it's lifespan.

HTH.
