I'm new to the self tune up, but have a1995 montero LS 3.0 24 valve, and I wnat to start doing my own work. It's started stuttering going up hills. Changed the fuel filter and it ran okay for 3-4 days, and now stuttering again. My buddy said to change the filter again, and plugs and wires to be safe, which I'm about to do. But the 24 valve has plug wires I can't seem to easily find replacements for, and I don;t want to pay the dealer prices for these things. Went to carquest and got the ones their computer recommended, but not the right kind. Can someone tell me the type/name for these plug wires so I can get them online? How about a good online store for montero parts? Everytime I talk to someone they try to sell me the traditional plugs wires and rotor, and this engine has a different set up.
