Hello all. New to the forum here and just picked a 98 Montero Sport 3.0L a few months ago. It started having some idling issues. Idles pretty rough and sometimes the RPM's drop so much it shuts off. Eventually the CEL came on and I scanned it with a code reader. Code came back saying TPS sensor was closed. I am assuming the TPS is bad on the vehicle and I am going to go ahead and replace it. My question is, is the TPS on the 3.0L Montero Sport an adjustable TPS and how do you install it properly. I know it does involve and ohm meter hooked to the sensor then you adjust it till it reads the proper ohms correct? I have replaced a number of TPS sensors however none were adjustable.

it is adjustable but it could also be your isc motor change the o ring on the biss screw .. i have a tps if you need one
