Howdy, I have a 1995 Monty. I was wondering if you folks have noticed the black trim that is painted around the window frames. Mine is pealing, has anyone tried to fix this, and how? Ideas appreciated thanks....................

Peeling was the word I was looking for....sorry

 

There's that vertical metal trim piece, between the vent window and the main glass. The paint was completely gone, surface was a little rusty, etc. So since I used some bedliner coating on my front/back bumpers and wiper arms, I figured why not cover those two metal pieces? So I wiped them down with rubbing alcohol, let them dry, then used a small brush and painted them with the bedliner coating. I'm pretty sure that black "paint" on the metal trim that you're referring to is just a covering that's suffered under years of sun, water, and other environmental conditions. I'd see if you remove it, and paint what's underneath.
