I bought a 2001 Montero Sport Limited but the anti theft code was not there. I recently replaced the battery and now it's asking for that code. I was able to get the faceplate off to access the serial number which is 13084292F. Can anyone help me?

 

If you bought it used and it came with a owners manual, look in it as some people write the code in there. I believe it is four didgets. Most stereo stores can pull the unit and look up the code. I had one done at the Dealer, I think it was about $40.00.

Call your local Mitsubishi Dealer and give them your VIN and they should be able to give you the code.
