Mitsubishi Montero & Montero Sport This sport utility vehicle offers more size than the other Mitsubishi SUVs, but manages to keep a sporty look and comfortable feel, unlike many larger SUVs.

Recently picked up a 94 Montero, 140k miles. Previous owner was meticulous about maintenance and it is in very good shape for it's age. It does have two issues we would like to fix. First is the fog lights, we cannot locate the fuse or the relay for them and they do not work. Second is the cruise control does not work and appears that this may also be a fuse or relay. Neither the fog lights or the cruise control are listed in the manuals fuse section, and the markings on top of the engine box are worn off. Anybody know where to locate these items?

Thanks!

I would recommend rewiring the lights if there is any question on the quality of work that went into the original set up. Using one of the extra slots in the fuse box (if possible) and your own relay and switch is not that expensive.

Check the cruise control section in your FSM on a place to start diagnosing the problem, see if it's throwing any codes.

Good Luck

As far as we can tell, the fog lights are factory installed. But I agree that re-wiring might be easier at this point. I am working on picking up a manual. Thanks for the replies.

You can use a web based FSM until you get a paper version.

Here is a link to a Russian site with the FSM online:
Pajero 4x4 Off-Road Club 2000-2008

(Don't let the link title fool you, the site has your Gen. II manuel.)

Good Luck
