Default Oil Filter Location

Just bought a '95 Montero, automatic with the 3.0 24 valve. What is the best way to get to the oil filter on this model?
Thanks

Default Skid plate

I think you access the oil filter by removing the the lower skid/splash plate. I have the 3.0 Single cam 24v engine in my 2000 sport, and the oil filter is on the front of the engine. Anyone else know? I have not changed my oil yet in the Monty, as I just got it.

OK, I will check there this weekend. I looked up under the back of the motor and down around the engine bay but didn't see it so thought it might be under the skid plate. The owners manual nor the Repairsurge CD references the location or the filter type.
