Default Radio/CD player is "OFF"

I just got 2000 MMS. My kid pushed buttonson the radio and it turned into "OFF" regime. Now I can not enter the code given in the manual of my car, because it shows always "OFF" on the display.
Can somebody hint me what should be done?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks MonteroMan. I've disconnected it. But it is useless.
As for autozone, I don't have access to it, as I am living in Armenia.
Anyway, thanks. Maybe some other recommendations?

i looked more into it. you only have 3 chances to enter it. If you enter it wrong 3 times, your radio will display "OFF". Then you'll be locked out from entering your code. If that happens, you'll need to put your key in the ignition and turn it to the ACC position and leave it there for about
45 minutes. That will reset your radio and you can have 3 more chances. During the three chances you should be all set as long as you enter the right code of your card.

I had the same problem as for getting it back on code you have to leave the key on acc and radio showing off for an hour so it will get back to code and enter the code. I unfortunatlly do not have the code and would appreciate it if anyone could help me on getting the code for mine.

you have to pull the HU out of the dash to get the serial number. Write down whatever numbers you have b/c getting the HU out is a pain and you won't want to have to do it again.
Call any mitsu parts facility and tell them you need to get your radio code. They should ask you for your VIN and the HU's serial no. They should have your code for you in a few seconds.

Hi tommygarco,
Could you please tell me how did you pull the HU out, if you are done yourself? Is it really very difficult?
Thanks
