Hi all,
I just purchased a 2002 Montero Sport and am looking to install a new sound system. There are a lot of great head units out there that rival the best systems on new cars. However, the dash layout of the Montero Sport, with the stereo located beneath the climate controls and sunk into the dash a bit, isn't exactly friendly to putting a nice big screen in there.

I'm trying to figure out how to relocate the climate controls. From what I've been able to find, it seems some JDM Mitsus of this era had single-din controls. Is there a unit from another model that I could swap with the stock one? The regular Montero from this year has a control panel that looks about the right size, but the wire harnesses look different. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
