My RV meter has gone a little mad, it has stopped showing the correct "DRIVING RANGE" it shows 53 miles on a full tank(display shows the approximate distance in miles vehicle can be drive on the fuel thats in the tank) It also sometimes display outside temp, and it will only switch to 2 information screens not showing the air conditioning operation screen.May sound a little confusing but owners who have them on there cars will know what i'm talking about.My question is,can this display be reset ,or are this all tied into seperate sensers.

Forgot to inform that this is in a 2001 Montero SR.

 

Turn ign switch to LOCK (off) then while pressing and holding the ADJ button (RV meter) turn IGN to ACC after 5 sec it will enter service function mode, good luck

 

Thanks very much - my battery was flat so i recharged it in the car - all ok but outside temp did not show.

your instruction to reset the rv meter worked - thanks very much
