Mitsubishi Montero & Montero SportThis sport utility vehicle offers more size than the other Mitsubishi SUVs, but manages to keep a sporty look and comfortable feel, unlike many larger SUVs.
Wondering how much I can
try to sell my 2002 Montero Limited for? It has a laundry list of issues that I've listed here:
-odometer reads 93k but was reset when transmission was replaced at 130k in 2012
-large oil leak
-alternator has gone out twice in two years due to this oil leak
-sunroof does not open
-driver side window does not open
-leather is pretty tore up by my dogs, got customized seat covers for the front last year that look much better
-multiple cosmetic issues especially on back bumper.
-due for new brakes and tires soon
I feel so much nostalgia for this car. Over the past 20 years it has been such a trooper!! I hate to sell it but it is time. Any suggestions on how or where to sell it? Or how much I can reasonably sell it for?
It's clear that your 2002 Montero Limited has been through a lot with you, and it's understandable that you feel nostalgic about it. When selling a vehicle with a laundry list of issues, it's essential to set realistic expectations. Considering the age, mileage, and the issues you've mentioned, you might want to explore local classified ads, online marketplaces like Sgcarmart, or even reaching out to local Mitsubishi enthusiasts' groups. Be transparent about the car's condition in your listings, as honesty can help attract the right buyer. As for the price, it can be a bit challenging given the repairs needed.
