Hi to all!

The service engine soon was intermittently coming on and off.
I just want to know what kind of service do I need to do.
I had 72K miles on it and all the preventive maintenance was already done such as:
Timing Belt, Water pump, Antifreeze flush, Transmission oil change, spark plugs. They were all done at 60K.
I don't know what was causing this service engine soon coming on intermittently. Thanks!

 

Still runs, 173,000+ miles, lots of new parts and work done by private mechanic. First $825 or so gets it! And...
it never gets stuck anywhere.

 

Without knowing the code that your rig is throwing, it's hard to tell what the computer thinks is wrong. However, the two times that my check engine light has come on has been the evaporation code. Both times I ran an evap. test and it came up fine, so I just cleared the code in each case.

Like 'nevergetstuck' said, don't worry about it...

If you want to know the code and you don't have a code reader, go to the nearest auto shop and have them hook their code reader up. Then check your FSM for the code to find out what it's throwing.
