Mitsubishi Montero & Montero Sport This sport utility vehicle offers more size than the other Mitsubishi SUVs, but manages to keep a sporty look and comfortable feel, unlike many larger SUVs.

Exclamation Should I Buy?

Forum,
I have recently found a 1999 Mitsubishi Montero (non sport) with 117k. I am entirely unfamiliar with Mitsubishis. I want an SUV that can handle commuting to school and back while also being used for mild offroading. It is listed at $3500 and is negotiable. Earlier this summer, I came close to purchasing a 2003 LR Discovery. I can afford the gas and for the past year, driven my fathers 99' Isuzu Trooper. Tell me what you think?

The Mitsubishi Montero is by far the better car, LandRover's Discovery is not the great car the name makes you believe. The montero is great for commuting and quite good off-road. On top of that the Mitsubishi is more reliable, got better all-round handling and has more standard options than a LR.
