timing procedure help

Default timing procedure help

hello. I'm trying to get my friends 02 3.0 Montero sport put back together after his crank pulley bolt fell out. I'm having a hard time finding torque patterns for the water pump and timing cover if you could help I'd sure be great full

This page covers most of the torque values related to the 6G72 engine. I've been using this site for years, just pay attention to the year on some of the values. Mitsubishi 3.0L-181ci-V6 Torque Specifications - TorkSpec - Knowledge for the Motorhead
Also, clean the threads in the crank snout before you install the crank pulley bolt(clean the bolt too), if it's too dirty it can destroy the threads leading to problems later down the road, ask me how I know this personally.

EDIT: Also be aware of the proper alignment of the tensioner pulley, this picture shows the proper alignment. Failure to align this right can result in a destroyed engine because the proper tension won't be put on the timing belt.
