Hey all, made it to Hawaii and will pick up my '07 Outie tomorrow, but I am looking for a used Montero sport/Montero and had a few q's for the peeps who have one:
What should I look for when shopping around? Most cars period here have high miles (100k+), so how long should I expect the engine to last before an overhaul?
I have found a 1994 Monty w/225k miles, it runs well, but has charging issues (dealer is looking into it). Average body but no rust, interior ok and clean, just old. What about the 4x4 drive train? Should I check it and see if it works? WHat also fails frequently on them? Any tips? Anyone know of someone on Oahu selling a monty?
