2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sport 160K Miles

Today on my way home from work. There was a sudden down pour of heavy rain, you know one of those quick storms where there isn't time for the drainage off the road. There was a huge puddle of standing water and once I drove through it my truck only made it about 50 feet and all of a sudden stalled. There wasn't any noises from the engine I only realized it had died because it was on a hill and I still had my foot on the accelarator but no longer had any forward movement. I put the truck in park, turn on my hazards and proceeded to turned the key to restart, only to hear clicking from the ignition but no crank from the starter. The dashboard has lights but no start... any ideas what the puddle may have caused for my truck to not turn over now?

 

Short sounds like you got water in the ignition system somewhere. Could be a blown fuse.
