Default 04 outlander vibration after axle replacement

I just replaced the right side cv axle along with the lower control arm. During the test drive I can now feel a vibration during acceleration for a few seconds. It happens in second gear i believe. Has anyone had this or have any ideas where it would come from?

If it wasn't there before, I'd look at an out of balance axel, or possibly a tire that needs balancing.

There was nothing before. I only found the bad axle while changing the belt. I just double checked everything again and nothing seems loose. I was thinking the axle, but I thought I would have a vibration even at speed not just during accelaration at 20 mph or so.

I'm betting a bad axel. Please post back what you find.

I think you are correct. I did some research earlier and it seems like an out of balance axle has exactly the same symptoms as what I feel. It will probanly take me a week or so to redo it. The best recommendation is to rebuild the oem one,but the outer joint alone is 300 dollars and another 50 per boot. I will let you know when i do. Thanks for the help.

Sorry it took so long but I just finally fixed the issue. I pulled my back out 3 days after and a customer help me. We determined that the aftermarket axles have a little bit of play between the inboard joint and the intermediate shaft(maybe a few thousandths just enough to create a vibration). I tried two different brands with the same result. Fortunately i kept the OEM axle and had it rebuilt. Problem solved!
