07 outie paint chipping just in front of rear tire
Hi everyone, Well it seems that during the winter and with the sand on the road I've noticed that the sand/gravel is being thrown from the front tires back along the plastic trim and along the paint just in front of the rear tire. It is causing a sand blasting effect to the plastic and paint. Is anybody else having this problem? Thanks again
No i have not but I have bought some generic ones from autozone. can I use the existing holes or do I need to drill new ones? Thanks for the reply.
I'm not sure if the ones you got from autozone will work, but you will probably need to drill holes on them to mount them.
Yes, a lot of people in this board agrees that the mud-guard for the Outlander is kind of a "must-have", because it really helps protects your door panels. Especially if you live in an area with snow and salt, it really helps.

This is another Mitsubishi Outlander forum, and the following post give you an idea of how to install them. Note- the mud guards on those are OEM, so they didn't drill any holes.

also check with your dealer and see if they have the Outlander 3m well hub protection kit. mine does. its just a layer of 3M film that covers that part of the hub where the rocks get thrown. i put it on mine and it works wonders. it was about $150. i also use the mudguards and still things make it past the guards so i strongly recommend the use of this 3M system.
