07 outlander aux not working
#11
I don't have Bluetooth. I'll have to look into getting an fm modulator. It just puzzles me. I have this on the bottom side of the MMCS where I assumed I'd hook up the auxiliary cord. I hear static when I put the AUX on, but nothing changes when I hook it up

It's odd that your console doesn't have it. Perhaps the wires are there, and you don't have the plugs??? If that's the case, you could buy this, and use a headphone extension cable to connect to your media player:

Looking at your pic, I don't think you have an OEM system. The nav/mmcs does not flip down like that. You will only have the connector if your vehicle had the "sun & sound" package. My 07 LS did not have it and I had to wire in my own aux cable to plug directly into the connector that plugs into the back of the head unit.
I tried to go with a Bluetooth/FM modulator at first. It worked okay for 2 months and broke. Then I got a wired fm modulator...both I tried were too quiet (phone cranked up, radio cranked, no volume adjustment on modulator).
