I went to another dealer and explained the whole story. The service advisor was a genuinely decent guy and forwarded photos of the hole to a regional manager who agreed to replace it. It's not been done yet though, as they are waiting for parts. I was advised that anything that "breaks" (if) during replacement would be on me.
