07 xls front pads
has anyone replaced their front brake pads with ones that they would HIGHLY reccomend ?
it is time for me to do my 07 xls fronts ........
.........and would like to hear if there is anything better than OEM.
thanks

here is the best part.
i knew i would have some free time this past week-end...
.... so i jacked up the front and pulled the wheels.......pads still have "plenty left" on them.
are the OEM pads that good ? ? am i just lucky ? ?
35 000 + miles and only about 1/2 worn.
so i just ended up doing an "inspection" and rotating the tires !

I'm not suprised your brake pads are only 1/2 worn. Recently we sold our 1995 Honda Passport SUV to our son and at 90,000 miles it still had the factory brake pads on it.
Most SUV's are built for heavy duty use and if you don't tow anything or carry heavy loads on a regular basis, the suspension, brakes, and transmission generally will last much longer than on a passenger car.

just ordered a set of Akebono ProACT ceramic pads for my outlander..... will post reviews when I get them installed...... (just a note - I'm not using the stock rotors.. I replaced the stock rotors with R1 Concepts’ Premium Series Performance Rotors).....
