2004 Rear diff oil change

2004 Rear diff oil change
Has anyone here changed the oil on the rear diff of a 2004 Outlander?
How do you access the filler plug? The crossmember is only an inch behind it preventing getting a socket on, and there doesn't seem any space to get a spanner in there due to the close proximity of the exhaust and a damper? bracket thing directly below.
Any hints or tips welcome.
