Please whatever you do don't fit a fram oil filter!

I stay away from Fram anyway their cheaper because they are crap.

While its under warranty always fit Mitsubishi OEM parts if you void your warranty because you fitted fram stuff under the hood it won't save you a few $$$s in the end >especially engine parts

Installing a Fram filter will not void the warranty. You will only void your warranty if you intall a modification that is not an "original" part of the car, such as a cold air intake or performance modification chips and Any wheels larger than manufaturer oem sizes may void any transmission/drivetrain warranties. An air filter that is made to spec will not.

K&N Filter 33-2392 in my 2007 Outlander works great!
http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...x?Prod=33-2392

Ordered direct, shipping pretty quick at a good price too!
Slightly more engine growl at WOT and probably better engine response too.
I'm satisfied, some magazine tests for the EVO X show slightly more hp.

Take care.

I just went through the same problem and decided to order the stock K&N filter. It fit perfectly in the box and it cost like 50 bucks but you can clean it yourself every 50,000 miles and they are supposed to last 1 million miles. If I were you I would do the same and fork out a little extra cash now and never worry about finding another filter again.
