Hi all,

New here and new owner of a 2007 Outlander LS. As most of you are aware, the car comes pre-wired for a bluetooth kit, which can be a nice convenience if the kit can be purchased for a reasonable amount of $ and installed fairly easy as well. However, that's not the case. Dealer asks $599+tx (canadian) for the kit, installed, which I find to be ridiculous and I'm sure others share my opinion.

The question is: has anyone been able to find an alternative kit that would fit the factory pre-wiring on this car? And if so, what's the difficulty level to have it installed?

I think the closest 3rd party solution right now will require its own buttons. I don't see any 3rd party products built to work with the existing prewiring on the Outlander anytime soon. You can always order the BT module from the US if your dealer is asking an arm and a leg for it.

It's pretty much dollar for dollar now. 1 USD = 1.01 CAD

I remember (way back in 2003) 1 USD = 1.50 CAD
