Hello all, I have a 2008 outlander se and the ac decided to stop working completely. troubleshooting consisted of removing blower and verifying it actually operates and it does but that is about it. I have located the resister I believe( It actually looks like a square) but not sure if that could be the cause. I turn my ac on as I normally would and the lights indicating that the ac is on and the compressor turns on as usual but blower not working at all. I guess my question is could it be the resister or a fuse to operate the blower (if there even is a fuse for the ac and if so where on earth EXACLTY IS IT LOCATED AT).

 

check voltage at the connector of the blower to see if it's a fuse or logic issue or something.

If the blower is getting power but is not spinning, then you need a new blower motor.

If the blower is not getting power, then you need to work your way back to see why it's not receiving it and where the power flow stops. If the PCM is not sending power to the relay to run the blower motor, then maybe a sensor is bad etc....

 

So the blower running with the A/C off?

Does it stop running as soon as you press the A/C button and then start again when you turn the A/C off?

Are you using AUTO modes or did you set the fan speed manually?
