Default 2009 outie won't shift out of park

HEy all,

2009 outlander v6 130000km on it. All of a sudden having major issues shifting out of park. One minute, no problem...another time, won't move. After turning the car on and off a few times, problem disappears.

Any idea what might be casuing this?

Also, when this happens, that little release next to the gear shift is supposed to release it correct? So next time it sticks, I just flip that cover up and just press a button underneath or something? I've never tried it.

Anyway, just curious what might be causing this issue and if others have it as well and what they did about it.

thanks!

I know TSB aren't warranty items or recalls, but if I still have a powertrain warranty I should be fine since it involves my transmission correct?

Sorry, no idea. Check with the dealer or Mitsubishi Canada.

Does anyone know then if there is a list of TSBs published for Canada for mitsubishi? If so, can you share the link.

I just got told there was no TSB issued for this in Canada yet this forum is full of these TSB (maybe american?)
