Question 2010 Engine Bay Fuse Box

I am planing on fitting a strip of LED's under each of my headlights.

On checking the Engine Bay fuse box I found plenty of wires that were hot/active with the ignition on.

My problem is, I don't want to tap into a wire that may be powering sensitive equipment like the air bag etc.

There is a pink wire that is easily accessible, does anyone know if it would be OK to tap into it please?

I want the LED's to be lit for day running when I turn on the ignition .

Better to be safe than sorry and a search of the web has found nothing relevant.

Do you want your DRL on along with the new LED's? Or do you want just your new led's on?

IS YOUR CAR EQUIPTED WITH DRL RIGHT NOW???? It doesn't look like it from the picture.

Thanks for the reply, no I don't have DRL.

I just want the LED's on when I start the car.

The pink wire is dead until the ignition is on and then it's active.

Therefore, I assume the pink wire would be OK, however, if it's power for any sensitive device than I would rather not use it.

I looked in the Outlander manual and added the selected pages you might find useful in verifying you wiring selection. I couldn't add the whole file as it was too large. Good luck.

Check if either of these 2 connectors becomes hot when the ignition is turned on. If either does, this will be your better area for your power source.

I spoke to a Mitzi mechanic yesterday and that is the exact place he suggested.

He also told me not to use the yellow wire as that is feeding the air bags.
