By the way, does anyone here know which Canadian site I can go buy genuine Canadian Accessories/Parts and ships to the States?
Same question for the European Accessories/Parts.

Thanks a lot
if you want a bluetooth module go on e-bay you can get it for $217-325
you can ask seller for more pictures and if it does have USB plug. mine is 2010 made in france, the dealer installed it for me in US (for $535)
I'm not sure if the USB plug is just to program the module to make it work in the car or it can be use to connect I-pod or usb drive. I wasn't able to find the special cable for it.
If somebody else can find it please let me know!

This module is made in France while the other was from Mexico.
(still the PN is the same)
Your Outie is european version?
Are the bluetooth modules the same or different in US and Europe?
Needing any changes in HU firmware to attach?

The PN number is different. Its a completely different module.

If you get the full FCC ID from ionicaw's picture, you can compare the internals of both on the FCC's site.

Doing a search for cb2mbluec07, yields that Mazda uses the same module.
FCC link for one of them: link

mine is a US 2011 outlander and the dealer ordered the bluetooth and installed for me, but it is made in France

Link to the new module.
This module looks completely different, higher quality PCB and seems to be more like an embedded computer than the older model.
I can't tell from the photos if its USB or not.

Another note: the connector is different as well. I don't see how this module could be used on older Outlanders at all due to different connectors and wiring. The number/colour of wires is completely different.
However, I suppose we would need a service manual from a 2010/2011 Outlander to rule it out completely.

Hmm..so maybe it just doesn't work. Does anyone know how to take the stereo out? Just to see what my options are. Or should I go to the dealer? Hmmm, I'll ask him.

Tell me about it! I drove three hours on the salted highways last night. My car went from Rally Red to Rally Rose. I saw a picture of those headlight washers on a VW GTI; looked cool. I don't know why they can't just offer
the same car worldwide. Probably be cheaper.
I think you need to consult the dealer to take out the stereo or else you can refer the users manual.
