Default 2010 Outlander Rockford No Audio

Hey guys came her to ask for some guidance haven't touched outlander much in terms of radio until today due to the Wife's having a problem where we're getting no audio, reading over forums online common problems seemed to be bad amp or bad amp fuse.

Checked the fuse had continuity, checked power going into the amp and that seemed good as well; but when checking the signal wire to the amp from the radio noticed that there wasn't the 12V I'd expect coming down it based on service manual meaning the head unit wasn't making a connection. So I pulled apart the head unit and checked for continuity to my surprise there wasn't any...

So, at this point I've pulled apart the passenger kick panel exposed an additional 24 pin connector there checked continuity between amp connector and the one there and that checked out; yet head unit down to the connector no continuity, wondering if anyone has any other ideas or if I'm missing something like there's an additional connector between the head unit and the one in the kick panel leading down to the amp or a fused link of some sort.

In the 2007 manual for the car it looks like this is a straight connection from head unit down to that connector as shown in the image below; C14 to C22 is where I was testing continuity.

If it's the harness that is bad it seems unreal to me due to the fact the passenger side door's locks and window control etc are all in that same loom of wires and yet all of that is working fine, just this part of the harness seems to have an issue... anyway I've been going crazy trying to troubleshoot this after discovering the signal wire wasn't getting the expected input.
