Default 2010 Outlander Wheel Plus sizing

Hi all

I have just purchased a 2010 Outlander and am thinking about upgrading my wheels. They are currently sitting on factory 215/70/r16 but was wanting to upgrade to 18s or 20s. I come from a place where the roads can be a bit rough in areas so am wanting a bit of advise as to what would work best.

Also have 3 rims in mind which are...

1.Casino Chromes by American Racing
2.No. 2 by 2 Crave
3 Shockwave by Vision

What would you think would look best on the ride??.. My ride is Brown Quartz. I like chrome

Personally, I would go with the 2 Crave No. 2 for your ride.....

Before you purchase, make sure you check out the wheels on the vehicle by one of the programs that you can see them on your ride...

But I think a little black would go well with the Quartz Brown color...

Good luck with your search!!! Show pics when you purchase!!!

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Caskey_b - Ive liked the 2 craves too. Yeah there is an option that has chrome with a little black going through it would look nice. Do you think it would be a risk to put 245/40/r20 on it if some areas are a bit rough?? or should I just stick to 225/55/r18.

gggplaya - Sorry bro I live in the Cook Islands in the South Pacific. A little Island lol

As far as tire size.... The 245/40/20 are same overall diameter, and would definately LOOK better in my opinion...

What you need to check on is clearance... It's a full 1.2 inches wider than your stock setup... I would bet you won't rub, but I am not certain.

Well you are going up in wheel size... That will help

But the profile is smaller, so that won't help

Wow cool, 91 square miles is less than the city i live in.

But if it were me, i'd stick with 16's and get some Cooper Discoverer AT3's tires. Go for that offroad look, drive up on the beach, put the tailgate down and party with your friends.

Haha Yeah bro it takes about 45 mins to go round my island Rarotonga!

Yeah the offroad look did cross my mind but do you think it would suit the outlander? Something to think about anyways! Cheers bro!

The problem with larger wheels is, the bigger you go, the lower the profile of the tire. The lower the tire profile, the more pronounced the wheel gap looks. Which means you'll have to lower the outlander to make the wheel gap look better, which defeats the purpose of owning an SUV.

While the outlander is not a true off roader due to the AWD system, you slap a decent set of tires on it, and it'll have no problem on hard sand, dirt, mud and trails.

You can definitely do the offroad look on the outlander.
1. Roof Rails
2. LED light Bar on the roof, PIAA lights are no longer in style.
3. Bull bumper guard.
4. Off road tires
5. High Lift Jack mounted somewhere.
